Ugly Stik 6'6"M 1piece spinning rod

This rod shows decent quality control, straight blank and the guides lined up straight, it makes me happy to see an Ugly Stik that way nowadays. The Elite is still a little heavier than most rods, but is still durable and handles fish nicely.

    Sensitive and indestructible

Great rod for big game fish or smaller. It's Very dependable and you won't be worrying about breaking guides or tips. I bought the 8'6 salmon steelhead rod and a 5'6 lite rod. I've taken a nice gar and a nice 17lb cat on my 8'6

    Low quality guides

I purchased the previous generation of these rods where they changed from ceramic guides to "stainless steel " and am not impressed. The guides all rusted out on both the inside and where they attach to the rod. The rod has become worthless as the cost and labor to replace the guides is more than a new rod so i am left with a solid blank with no usable guides. The newest version appears that the guides will suffer the same issues. Too bad as I love the rod blanks.
