Took it gar fishing was worried my bait was to heavy I was using a 3 lb of a carp head and it casted with 0 issues

Exactly what I was looking for in a catfish rod. Not too stiff with plenty of backbone. Cant wait to take it to the lock and dam!

This rod looks great, very light, solid construction, and very stiff for a MH. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is the lure limit. Only 3 ounces!! Come on Ugly Stik, raise the lure limit. I was casting with around 5 oz with no issues but I felt like I had to "lob" the bait instead of actually casting. I know this is an Ugly Stik and can probably handle more weight but I was afraid the rod would snap being carbon. Unfortunately, I sent this rod back for another with a higher lure rating.

Solid Rod. Great Looks and Comfort. Went with Heavy action still has play in Rod. The Eyelets are a solid construction and makes a smooth cast. 10/10.
