It's a fishing rod to enjoy

I own three 7' foot one piece ugly stik fishing rods, a Medium baitcaster, a medium-heavy spinning and a medium-heavy baitcaster. I use them equally from the bank or out of my 14 foot alumacraft. I like them for trolling because they are long enough, heavy enough and sufficiently flexible to meet my expectations. They are convincingly sensative to feel a fish teasing the bait and I fish mostly walleye/saugeye, pike, bass and catfish. I've drop shot for panfish and they can be felt nibbling the bait too. They are definitely heavier than a Lew's or St. Croix rod of equal length, line and lure rating and I assure you you can catch a twig hiking through the woods into your favorite fishing hole and they will not break however, that ain't necessarily true of a Lew's or St. Croix, I know cause I've ruined a $130 dollar rod very quickly. The baitcasters are fitted with Daiwa CA80 reels spooled with 12 & 14 lb Berkley Trilene XL. The spinning rod wears a Daiwa Emcast 5000 BR LT. It is my carp/catfish rod and is spooled with 20 lb Berkley Trilene XL. I fish to enjoy the hobby and nature. My boat is a 1968 Alumacraft powered by a 5 HP Mercury 4-stroke. My car is the Japanese version of a Chevrolet, a/k/a Toyota Camry. I fish smaller lakes, reservoirs and rivers. I've yet to catch a fish of any kind or size criticize my choice of equipment. Get yourself an Ugly Stick or maybe two or three and get out and confidently fish for your favorite specie and thank the Good Lord for…
