    A very nice rod…

Fished it today and ended up cutting the hooks off all of my other setups. I am truly impressed at the power and action of this rod. Had it paired with Penn Fathom II 25NLD2. Pulling doubles up from 500 ft. and it didn’t hesitate one bit. Tip is soft enough to fill those rock fish taps. This rod will make the trip with me ever time.

Outstanding Rod that Holds Up Well in Saltwater

Of the three conventional Jigging rods in the Tiger Elite series, the 6'3" version has been the most consistent for me over the years, both in the old Fuji equipped model and in the current S/S guide version. The action is perfect for 30-to-40 lb braid, with a beefy midsection, but the tip still has a bit of flex to it to aid in casting a jig or topwater popper. I think I will be picking up a few more of these and you have to love the 7-yr warranty. The only negative is that the epoxy rod finish is slopped over the guides and some of it invariably leaks over the surface of the S/S guide rings. It's easy enough to trim off with an Exacto knife, but it's just a pain to have to do that to every rod.

    Love the Jig rod

I love all Tiger rods. They're bulletproof and wanted one after the first SF Bay charter boat trip I took 30+ years ago. They are offered in the perfect sizes for all Northern California saltwater fishing. The jigging rod is great for the heavier 8-16oz weighted bait and plastics deeper rockfish/lingcod fishing trips. I use the ML for halibut and salmon and the M for shallower rockfish with lighter jigs. I'd love to tie into soma Albacore if they ever come close. Can't wait for any of the Tigers to come back in stock I need a few extras for kids/friends on the boat. At the price point it's a no brainer, could by three of these for the cost of the fan boy rods which don't function any better and are not as durable as a Tiger.

    Dang near the perfect rod!

I bought of these rods, update of the previous model, same blank, different guides. Light weight, uniform bend, handle jigs and sinkers through 4 lbs, and have enough backbone to land 300 lb halibut. I love them!
