    Handle design and shape. wire cutter

    The Ugly Stik Ugly tools 9" pliers are a great item to have in the gear list for any fisherman. The handles a larger than the normal pliers that you normally have. This allows for a better grip on the hooks that you would like to remove. I fish halibut and the hooks are larger than a normal hook and these pliers worked great to remove the hooks when the fish is landed and on the deck. I also used these pliers to remove hooks from salmon and trout and they worked very well on smaller hooks also. It has a very nice feature for those who use wire leader when they are fishing. The wire cutter worked very well to cut leader and down rigger cable with. It also works well on the normal fishing line. The design has a slight bend to the pliers which makes them ergonomically friendly and very comfortable to use. I would highly recommend the Ugly Stik pliers to any one that fishes and would give them a 5 star rating.

    Ugly Tool 9 inch Pliers

    I have been using these for 3 months on my saltwater boat. Great design holding up great. Comfortable to hold and use. I like the built in cutters use it for cutting line, leaders and the occasional hook. Get for taking hook out of fish's mouth hold hook firmly and the angel makes it easy to twist out.

    Great Tool!

    I have been using these for over a year now on my boat. This is a great product for a great price. These pliers serve many uses on my boat from removing hooks to clipping lines.

    Built to Withstand Harsh Conditions

    I am a full time charter captain in western Washington. I have to constantly clean and lubricate my pliers, which I use everyday, all day. No more. The Ugly Tools 9in Pliers handle the saltwater environment very well. I intentionally did not wash them down for two weeks and not a lick of corrosion. I especially like the triggered reverse grip handle design. This ensures I have a good hold of the pliers all the time. I also really like the spring loaded jaws. This allows me to operate the pliers with one hand way more easily than standard pliers. Highly recommended!
