The handles are comfortable. That’s the only good thing I can say about them. The jaws are loose and overlap each other causing the pliers to slip off of the skin. The jaws are too wide and the serrations really don’t do much at all. As someone who has fished with Ugly Stik rods for years I was excited when I found these pliers. After using them I am just disappointed to say that my cheap generic ones are better quality and function better.

These are the best skinners on the market by far. The overall quality of components is top of the line. The material on the handle keeps them from slipping even when your hands are covered in slime. As an added bonus they work great for pulling the silver skin off ribs.

It's always great to test new items. The new ugly stik skinner is easy to use and durable.

I was able to use this skinner for the retention sturgeon season in Oregon. Typically, I have difficulty pulling the skin from a sturgeon but this worked great.

These Ugly Stick Fish Skinners work great for skinning the biggest of Catfish. They grip better and hold on to the skin better than any other pliers I have ever used. They are a well built product.
